How to Conduct a Cricket Auction: Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1: Create the Auction & Set Rules
Before bidding starts, you need to define the rules. Decide on the base bid amount, the increment steps (e.g., +10,000 until 1 Lakh, then +20,000), and the maximum number of players per team. Using our cricket auction software, you can copy these settings from a previous tournament to save time.
Step 2: Register Players
You have three options for player registration:
- Manual entry by the organizer.
- Bulk upload via an Excel sheet (highly recommended for large tournaments).
- Share a registration link so players can sign up themselves and upload their payment screenshots.
Step 3: Manage Teams and Owners
Create a profile for each franchise, upload their logos, and set their starting purse. You can assign multiple co-owners to a single team so they can collaborate during the bidding war.
Step 4: Launch the Live Bidding
Once the panel is open, you select a player, and the system handles the math. Team purses are deducted in real-time. If you have a live stream, you can use an OBS overlay to broadcast the bidding graphics to YouTube. Learn more about our live streaming features.
